SHARE Project

The SHARE Project is a program based at the University of Connecticut conducting research in collaboration with AIDS Survival Project. The goal of the science- and technology-based research is to gather information for improving programs and services for people infected with and affected by HIV.

Seeking HIV+ individuals to participate in educational research

Currently SHARE is conducting the CONNECT research project, which studies outcomes of Internet usage for information and self care and compares experienced Internet users with those who are not.

The study is completely voluntary and confidential and research participants are paid for their time. As a CONNECT research participant, you will be asked to:

  • Complete a confidential survey focusing on the use of health resources and information.
  • Attend 8 group sessions with about 10 other HIV+ people
  • Do 4 follow-up surveys to help evaluate the project
  • Learn new information about accessing health resources
  • Earn while you learn: You can earn at least $260 by participating in CONNECT. To find out how to be a part of this important research, call 404-874-7926 and ask for "Connect."
